NZLII provides free access to legal information
The New Zealand Legal Information Institute (NZLII) is a free online database providing unreported New Zealand Court and Tribunal judgments, serving legal professionals, libraries, and the public worldwide. It plays a crucial role in providing anonymous and free access to legal information and relies on donations to maintain its valuable service.
This partnership aims to improve public access to individual New Zealand Law Reports (NZLR) cases and increase awareness of the Council's role under the New Zealand Council of Law Reporting Act 1938. By combining resources and expertise, NZLII and the Council are working together to enhance the availability of legal information and support the administration of justice in New Zealand.
We look forward to implementing these improvements and continuing to serve as a valuable resource for legal professionals, researchers, and the public.
